though the police cleared the lot, they were nonexistent for the pre-show nitrous clusterfuck. They did not seem concerned with it after the show either. THe place was littered with used balloons and trash--pretty sad that so many folks will not just collect their garbage into central locations. That said, if you are going to huff balloons, can't you put the old ones in your pocket and throw them away later? Otherwise, don't be surprised when localities hassle us on the the 2nd time around.

All in all, it was a fine scene on a beautiful day.

Im not very good at reviews. I lived that show in the moment and what I think now may be different than how I was feeling. So I will try to speak from in the moment. Its weird to hear everyone say it had no energy or it was a dud and yes everyone has a opinion. We got to the lot not bumping but it was going. Oh 2 portal potties for everyone which was insane. Luckly we asked an event staff lady if they had any other bathrooms and she escorted to nice bathrooms. Which to me is a plus when sitting in lot swirling beers. So also found some party favors which was a plus. So everything is going good at this point. We make our way to door and we had an extra ticket and we miracled this hot chick. We didn't want to take chance and give it to a dirty hippy because I guess we were expecting for the ticket holder to be sitting with us as we were on floor. We saw here coming and
there she went right up front oh well it was our ticket that got her there. As we went in no security check at all quick scan of the ticket and we were off. Like I said floor seat in the middle off to phils new side. Lights down mush in mouth im ready to go. Aiko aiko good way to start . Then I need a Miracle started strong ended weak. Then off to friend of the devil, I like this but the best part was phils vocal which I think I never heard that before. Tom Thumb wow , I really got into this. Phil was throwing bombs all over this one. Amazing. West la bob did a good job on this. John played like an animal. China doll was haunting as always john does good on this one. Now on to my favorite part of set Cumberland Blues. They teased this with some get down country shit and bam they played this one with everything they had now that had energy. Off to the promise land no flubs from bobby just beautiful get down music. I will say they are having a ton of fun up there. Second set celebration never heard this song live didn't really dig it but I stood and rocked to it and listened it actually a kewl song it made me think if my daughters smilingface. Then Wharf Rat another furthur first for me. John does this justice felt Jerry in that arena. He's gone good sing along but kept it slow. But I was smiling smiling smiling. When they started Truckin and I hope its not me but does anybody else get it confused with reveloution . That sparked the second set. The new speedway was down and dirty. Caution I felt almost like it has a posseion quality to it maybe it was the shrooms. During the middle there was this loud pop im sure any recordings picked up on this but Phil looked off stage like what the fuck was that but they kept getting it. Time was amazing . Sunshine shined on this one. Death has no mercy Bobby really puts his soul into this one. After midnight was fun. Not fade away was sad because I knew this was it. Encore not sure if they were fooling but bobby went to Phil to jk back to Phil like he forgot that it was all over now baby blue. Just to say if you were there and you felt I lack of energy im sorry and if you listened and felt same listen again. Bobby lead the band like always maybe a bit to much. Phil what more can I say (is Phil bombs forever). John is loud and on fire. Joe is a monster and jeff makes love to those keys and sunshine and jeff bring that little extra with alot of love.
FURTHUR FOREVER.
Im on train now to nyc see you in the garden
GOOD LOVE

I thought part of the second set was absolutely monster. Of course as with any stadium it is where you sit but we were in the middle and the music notes were rotating like none other.

Great review Brokenarrow!!

I wasn't at the show but got to hear the first set and made it half way through the second set so far...I really am digging on the West LA...Jeff is a monster on those keys! My god! And Cumberland was def. a jaw dropper. I was blown away by Cumberland. It was amazing!

Here is a video of the Time from last night. Found it on youtube...Couldn't locate any others from the show.

Dreams are lies...it's the dreaming that's real!!!!

a lot of songs in this show that i really like. the reviews of the show are all over the place, which isn't unusual. we all have different tastes and preferences, but it usually comes down to how the band the played the songs (not necessarily the songs they played)... so i'll have to go the tape for official review.

I thought the show was amazing. First set was slower but they blew it out on Cumberland Blues.

Second set - Hes Gone > Truckin > New Speedway Boogie was on fire.

Time was great and Death Dont Have No Mercy was the highlight for me. JK on guitar just sounded cosmic. I thought the segues were great and Phil was droppin bombs as usual.

Bobby forgot alot of the words in the first set haha

Checking in after a long day of poll watching, among other things. Set list looks good but, without having heard either set, I'm not too surprised to hear a spark is lacking. There's no particular song here that screams IGNITION. I think they're saving those up for MSG.

I liked a lot of moments in last night's show, especially WLA, but lacking spark is a good way to put it.

On the other hand, if you were watching the same polls I was yesterday (Ohio, MS), those were some very nice outcomes!!
