GD 1973

I've just about worn out my Dicks Picks 16 (Oklahoma City, 10-19-1973), but I've found another tasty treat from that year:www.archive.org/details/gd1973-09-21.sbd.lai.4082.sbefail.shnf

Nebraska 2-26-1973 is a real smoker!
St.Louis 10-29-1973 is nice too, just found this one the other day
And of course a real smoker is 3-16-1973 from my home venue Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY. Prob one of the best Promised Land>Bertha>Greatest Story's ever of this triple play. They did the Promised Land>Bertha>GSET a bunch of times in 73-74 this show is prob one of the best the transition into GSET is unbelievable and A+ quality.

02/09/73 is a real classic show and a must have in my opinion.
06/10/73 is another one of my favorites from this awesome year.

it's really hard to go wrong with anything from 1973.

pretty much nailed it there. 1973 was a powerful year you almost can never pick a bad show.

just heard 10/30/73 today and it was pretty kick ass.....

www.archive.org/details/gd1973-10-30.sbd...r.32367.sbeok.flac16

Dark Star>Mind Left Body Jam>Dark Star>Stella Blue>Eyes>WRS..... good stuff

they were at the top of their game back then, voices were pristine... IMO they were great in 73' and got even better/more experimental throughout 74' ---- def their best 2 years (well that's def my opinion anyway ; )

Keith was on fire back then to! - had to throw that in there

I don't really like the horns in 73 which is why I lean more towards 74 as a favorite year.
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there

I aree bro...the horns in 1973 was a bad idea.
1973 is my favorite year too.
I like jazz flavored jams and Jerry's guitar solos are none stop kindness!!
Isn't it good to be lost in the wood
