I was at the show last night and didnt know about the jumper till this morning. What a sad turn of events. I was going to say what a great time it was but thats kind of hard to do now.

Unfortunately the story about the guy jumping through the window is true. Really sad, we should all say a prayer for him. The show itself was absolutely amazing! I haven't seen the "boys" since John joined them, and it was fantastic!!!! First set was good, but the second was unreal. So Many Roads, Other One, Estimated/Eyes, Brokedown encore! I feel very fortunate to have seen such a great show. I can't wait to see them again! God bless the boys!

First Gimme Some Lovin' since 6/29/10

Outstanding Peterson's show. As of 3:oopm day of show I was no show due to lack of funds. Rooting thru an old pair of overalls found $40.00. Enough for a cheap seat. Called friends who also wanted to enjoy the ride. While waiting for friends scored 2 seats center row 4 for $30.00. What a show. There is truely nothing like a dead concert. Musically tight as can be and many old time rarities--Til The Morning Comes lead to tears to my eyes. Haven't heard that one since the 70's. Thank you guys in the first row for the tics and a real good time. So glad we made it. Prayers to the young guy and his family who might of thought he could fly. Still miss "the voice" on the slow ones even after all these years. Keep up the fine work boys and keep on rockin cause you are the only one's who do what you do.

Haven't heard it yet but was at the Penn's Peak show and the Gimme Some Lovin was rough to put it nice.

last night was an amazing show. actually my first time in pittsburgh and i really enjoyed it. even the late night casino excursion didn't hurt my pockets too bad. really solid setlist, great openers to both sets and i was happy to get golden slumbers>carry that weight. john's playing really shined on rider and this was the first time i've seen so many roads so that was kinda special for me. i think so many roads being late in the show went well with the brokedown encore. i thought the sound was great and phil played really well. one thing i notcied was a problem with john's guitar before an althea solo which was taken over by jeff on the keys. he filled in pretty well and made it unique. and bobby had to switch to the pink fender when he wanted to use the gibson one time because of a buzzing or feedback noise. i forget which song that was though. nothing major or anything. all in all in was a grate time....except for just now hearing about a guying jumping. i didn't hear anything about it and we hung around after the show for a while. i did see some medics but i didnt see or hear anything wrong. can't help but wonder who and why, when you know the what, where and when. he's in my thoughts to say the least.

i was right there when the dude fell. I'm conivnced he was just horsing around, and tripped/fell into the window. It was the very bottom window and int e corner right next to a real wall. I cant believe he was able to get through. I can't get the sound of the glass breaking out of my head...

so glad the boys played a killer second set. After all that crazyness i really need some good tunes to heal my soul. so glad they delivered. i thought the brokedown palace encore was just beautiful.

I was acrossed the arena from the window incident and found out when my sister texted me when she saw a news report on tv shortly after it happened. I recall some odd comotion around the time of the incident and, perhaps the sound of a siren. The Brokedown Palace encore haunts me in light of what occured. The youing man died not long after that song was finished. It's hard for me to reconcile the senseless loss of life with the joyous vibe that permeated the hall. I use a wheelchair and went right past where the young man landed on the way to handicapped parking garage. I saw some female students pointing up, but didn't look. I was too engaged with lugging myself up the hill in the rain, snow and wind. More reports are surfacing that he was unable to stop himself because the floor seemed freshly waxed. That entire end of the building is covered in glass and it's hard to imagine that he was even able to break through the double pane glass. This will always be a bitter sweet show memory. I will do my best to honor him in whatever way finally comes to me.

I haven't felt like this since the Who's Cincy tradgedy in '79. I saw them in Pittsburgh the night before and was hoisted off my feet by the crowd as they scrambled to reach the general admission floor section. It was the only time I feared for my life at a show. When word broke that 11 had died the next night I was truly torn up as I am now. Music has been a catalyst for healing in my life. It's real tough to see it as a means of death in this case. He was just doing what we all do at shows, groovin' and diggin' the vibe.
