I am really surprised that no one is talking about that they played a smoking hot version of Death Dont Have No Mercy. They usually only play this when a prominent person dies. Well that was the day that Amy Winehouse died and entered the 27 Club. PigPen was a founding memebr of the club. Clearly the Dead (Furthur) are sympathetic to fellow muscians. It made the Mann Music Center show in Philly special.

i'm a huge fan of Rev. Gary Davis, so i love it when they play "Death Don't Have No Mercy". i loved it when the GD did it with Brent, and i also really like the Furthur version.

when i first heard it i didn't even think of Amy Winehouse, I assumed it was for the the 90 some murders in norway.. but maybe it was for both.. nonetheless bobby really poured it out in the song.

Seen them do this three times so far. IMO it's one of Furthur's finest numbers.
