I am really surprised that no one is talking about that they played a smoking hot version of Death Dont Have No Mercy. They usually only play this when a prominent person dies. Well that was the day that Amy Winehouse died and entered the 27 Club. PigPen was a founding memebr of the club. Clearly the Dead (Furthur) are sympathetic to fellow muscians. It made the Mann Music Center show in Philly special.

i'm a huge fan of Rev. Gary Davis, so i love it when they play "Death Don't Have No Mercy". i loved it when the GD did it with Brent, and i also really like the Furthur version.-

when i first heard it i didn't even think of Amy Winehouse, I assumed it was for the the 90 some murders in norway.. but maybe it was for both.. nonetheless bobby really poured it out in the song.-

It was a very nice version. And must have been a tribute to something...-
