Setlist Phils 74th Birthday Party 3-15-2014

#315846 7 months, 1 week ago
It's time for a Terrapin Crossroads birthday party for Phil!! He should have lots of Friends around to help celebrate, even if we don't quite know who they'll be yet. Hopefully both Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne will be back on their feet and able to play, along with Phil, Joe Russo and Adam MacDougall. It would sure be nice to see Jason, Emily, Ross and some of the other regulars stop by as well. It's kind of like a surprise party for all of us waiting to see who will join in the fun!

The party is scheduled to begin at 8 pm PDT, 11 pm in the East. The webcast is available for $7 at the TXR store. If I hear of an audio stream, I'll let you know. Hopefully everyone can share in the festivities! See you tonight!

**Substituting for Anders Osborne was Tom Hamilton. Chris Robinson joined band for most of set 2**

Does anyoen know where Tom hamilton came from? I mentioned this in the other thread that he plays with JRAD. (Joe Russos Almost Dead). He is a beast on guitar and very very fun to listen to. Takes the music to a different area that is excellent. Anders will not be terribly missed if TH plays again

I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

Anders is excellent in my opinion. Tom was excellent also. Last nights show was special but change ups with new faces often are. The first Anders-Luthers run from TXR in early 2013 was excellent also.

Tom is apparently in a Band called American Babies

This is a comment from the philzone, take it for what its worth.

I am hearing no Anders tonight. Apparently he is real sick and they are rescheduling the beginning of the Royal southern Brotherhood tour which was supposed to start Monday. I have not heard about Jackie but suspect he is out too...I had this flu and it's that bad. TXR FACEBOOK just posted Ross James and Danny Click playing in the bar tonight taking the place of previously scheduled American Babies. This would suggest Tom Hamilton tonight. Also still hearing very strong rumors of Chris Robinson.

American Babies being booked to play the bar would explain how Tom ended up playing last night.

On a tangential note, I'm almost wondering if the world is about to end. Everyone on the PZ thread liked last nights show.
