This was a very energetic, fun and beautiful show for me. Same fun time in the lot, got to check out more cool homemade craft vending. We were parked near the girl hand-painting baseball caps. Nice to see a bunch of unique hand-made-by-the-vendor stuff again. Made me want to get out the tye-dye again. To me one of the best aspects of the lot are the colorful crafts to be seen there. Inside we headed straight to the top again and found a lot of people there ready to dance. Due to the steep configuration of the lawn, the top cut is virtually the only flat spot, and this led to a good concentration of serious dancers and movers. There was quite an intense knot of youth in the center, with us older folks dancing a bit less abandoned on the edges. It was real nice to see so many people up and dancing hard together again. A very lively show, with lots of my dance favorites like Loose Lucy and a super funky Shakedown, a beautiful Wheel, etc. The band sounded great musically, and the back-up singers once again earned my respect and gratitude for their work. The addition of a female vocal, in particular, at the right places, is unbeatable. We all appreciated the hard work that went into this by everyone involved; and I know we were all of us grateful to be given the opportunity to gather again and be ourselves and love each other. Peace out.
