I'm ready. Dancing shoes oiled up. Couch pillows fluffed. Lets get the show on the road.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

Feeling bitterweet strange right now like others have mentioned, so stoked to be able to tune in via da couch for this. Furthur past couple years have been hit and miss for me attendance wise but I am thankful to have been around to catch a few New Years early on and to be around for TXR and am generally looking forward to the future. Got a four pack of or Narwhal for the occasion and the penvape at the ready. Ready for lift off.

Like many here . . . been doing lots of pondering today. Trying not to be selfish or sad, and focusing my thoughts on what the next chapter in this thing might be.

Quite honestly . . . I thought it was done when JG left us. I did the 04 shows, and the 09 shows for nostalgia. Was at the Bryce Jordan Center show etc, and when Furthur hit the road . . . jumped on 2 to 3 shows per east coast tour as time permitted. I own my own business, have a family, and have a wonderful wife that is not interested but very tolerant of my dedication to this.

All in all . . . I would say I have about 120'ish GD, Dead, and Furthur shows. And my challenges has always been plain and simple . . . finding people to travel with to these shows and share this passion with. It seems I ended up going with much less experienced people, who sort of got it, but I spent most of my Furthur show time educating and passing the torch so to speak.

And it just occurred to me . . . I have been on this forum, during every show I have not been at, and have never met any of you bastards! (I mean that in a good way)

This forum has pretty much been my connection to this whole wheel, and through me to the new folks I have introduced to shows and the music. I did make an attempt to find the flag at Bethel, but got lost along the way. And never found it at AC this spring.

So if I have any regrets . . . . in 30 years of doing this, I have the most history with a bunch of people I never met.

So lets get down and enjoy this show . . . . until we do it again!
Bound to cover just a little more ground . . .
