Robert Hunter 9-28-13 Miller Symphony Hall [LMA]

#287104 1 year ago
So glad to have made it to this Robert Hunter show. It was nice to hear one of the iconic Grateful Dead lyric men singing and playing with an intimate solo performance. It has been a number of years since he toured and it is a short one, but if you have an opportunity to catch him performing near you, know that it will be a nice show!!!

**An Evening with Robert Hunter**

Robert Hunter - vocals, guitar, harmonica

Thanks to Robert Hunter for all the great lyrics and for allowing taping and sharing. There\'s a fitting nod to Bob Weir
when Robert Hunter forgets the words to a verse during Jack Straw, a song he wrote with Bob Weir and Robert extends
a heartfelt thanks to Jerry Garcia.

Yes, it's very cool to see him still kicking and showing up at the scene. Last time I saw him was The Dead run in 2004 at RR. He played an opening set. I was disappointed in the crowd not really paying him much attention/respect. Oh well, maybe the young heads don't know who he is. I was inspired by his set though. Just cool to think of the guy living in his car with Garcia in Palto Alto all those years ago when nobody gave a shit. Legend.

Awesome recording Sister- among the best of Hunter's shows & easily the best of this tour's LMA additions
