Just returned from Boston and a short week (time flies when having so much fun) of Deadalicious Music...am heading out to CMAC soon...show ratings so far:
1st Boston Number 1
New Hampshire Number 2
Cooperstown Number 3
2nd Boston Number 3
The first Boston was other worldly and stands above the other three shows, New Hampshire had the killer set list and 2nd Boston and Cooperstown post a tie. This is my opinion based on my presence at these shows and I realize others will have differing opines but that's the way I heard it
Hoping for a Lazy Lightening, Supplication, and Magnolia Mountain at CMAC...see you all after the show, and I missed Chester all week again dammit
I've been able to get an hour at home as well in between shows. (Feel's like old times!) My list differs somewhat from yours zipster...
Cooperstown #1 - I may be a little biased because it was my granddaughter's first show, but the sun shower, baseball and moon references all in such a cool venue was awesome.
NH #2 - Cool venue (nothing like watching hippie freaks climb all over tractors!) The Help/Slip?Stones/Wharf Rat/Franklin's was stellar!
Holmdel #3 - Eyes/Death/Shakedown... what more needs to be said?
Boston shows rate down low mostly because of the venue. Sound isn't very good other than a small strip up the center. Security wouldn't let the guys take their shirts off (night one was 102 degrees) and the crowd was full of nitrous zombies and people who would rather shop on their smart phones and chatter about whatever rather than listen to the show.
Canandaguia will ROCK. It always does. Two years ago they played there on the 21st anniversary of Brent's death. First set was an outstanding train-themed roller coaster ride!
I'll stream first set tonight but just a fair warning that I'm on the lawn.
