The whole day was great. It's hard to describe how well everything worked. So glad to have seen everyone.
The rain in the first set, was very nice, leading to that beautiful rainbow. And the crescent moon hanging over
the stage, during Terrapin, and SOTM, was perfect. And venus straight overhead. After the shower, there was
a beautiful sunset, and the night was clear, and full of stars. This is the kind of show you think about, when you
imagine a perfect summer night. Made all the more special, by the company of good friends.

Time to start cooking dinner. I'll be back for show time!

Haven't heard anything about a stream as of yet. We can always hope Rob will be there tonight.

Keep the thoughts flowing for that cool refreshing stream!

Hey, there's my Mickey Hart Band Shirt! Glad to see you (& it) made it to Cooperstown!!! According to Creative Allies, a whopping two were sold, so it's a rarity!

It is your shirt. I got it about a month ago, and have worn once or twice. I love it, and I told everyone it was your design!

Bill, I believe that we have gotten many FFF members to stream for us in the past. We really need to put the word out there. And I think we did that a lot more in the past before TaperRob has really started coming thru for us.

It's really as simple as having a smart phone and your friend having a smart phone. Download the ustream app set up an account. Go live and for get about it! Of course battery power is a problem so make sure you are completly charged before showtime. And either have a back up battery or have a friend who has a completely charged phone to stream when the other one dies. We don't need high quality just someone who has a smart phone!!!! It's simple!!!!

Be the stream you seek in others, my friends!

We've become a dysfunctional family as Taperrob has enabled us to expect instant gratification. He warned us in his message from Brooklyn - he is just a man! Rather than a feast or famine, we can be the stream that we seek in others!

If I Had a Hammer Smartphone

If I had a smartphone,
I'd stream shows in the morning
I'd stream shows in the evening
All over this land
I'd stream out Furthur
I'd stream out a Dark Star
I'd stream out the tunes to all
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land

If I had a ticket

...

MM, I cannot believe how much you resemble Keith Godchaux. Uncanny.

Casey at the Bat
by: Ernest L. Thayer

(BW) The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Mudville nine that day;
The score stood four to two with but one inning more to play.
And then when Cooney died at first, and Barrows did the same,
A sickly silence fell upon the patrons of the game

A straggling few got up to go in deep despair. The rest
Clung to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast;
They thought if only Casey could but get a whack at that--
We'd put up even money now with Casey at the bat

But Flynn preceded Casey, as did also Jimmy Blake,
And the former was a lulu and the latter was a cake;
So upon that stricken multitude grim melancholy sat,
For there seemed but little chance of Casey's getting to the bat

But Flynn let drive a single, to the wonderment of all,
And Blake, the much despised, tore the cover off the ball;
And when the dust had lifted, and the men saw what had occurred,
There was Johnnie safe at second and Flynn a-hugging third

(JK) Then from 5,000 throats and more there rose a lusty yell;
It rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell;
It knocked upon the mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
For Casey, mighty Casey, was advancing to the bat

There was ease in Casey's manner as he stepped into his place;
There was pride in Casey's bearing and a smile on Casey's face.
And when, responding to the cheers, he lightly doffed his hat,
No stranger in the crowd could doubt 'twas Casey at the bat

Ten thousand eyes were on him as he rubbed his hands with dirt;
Five thousand tongues applauded when he wiped them on his shirt.
Then while the writhing pitcher ground the ball into his hip,
Defiance gleamed in Casey's eye, a sneer curled Casey's lip

(PL) And now the leather-covered sphere came hurtling through the air,
And Casey stood a-watching it in haughty grandeur there.
Close by the sturdy batsman the ball unheeded sped--
"That ain't my style," said Casey. "Strike one," the umpire said

From the benches black with people, there went up a muffled roar,
Like the beating of the storm-waves on a stern and distant shore.
"Kill him! Kill the umpire!" shouted some one on the stand;
And it's likely they'd have killed him had not Casey raised his hand

(BW) With a smile of Christian charity great Casey's visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the game go on;
He signaled to the pitcher, and once more the spheroid flew;
But Casey still ignored it, and the umpire said, "Strike two."

"Fraud!" cried the maddened thousands, and echo answered fraud;
But one scornful look from Casey and the audience was awed.
They saw his face grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
And they knew that Casey wouldn't let that ball go by again

(JK) The sneer is gone from Casey's lip, his teeth are clenched in hate;
He pounds with cruel violence his bat upon the plate.
And now the pitcher holds the ball, and now he lets it go,
And now the air is shattered by the force of Casey's blow

(ALL) Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville-- mighty Casey has struck out.

Hey everybody I went to the show not intending to stream it.Laura messaged me on FB and Emily texted me telling me you guys were streamless.I only had 38% battery when the second set started,but knew you guys were jonesing.I did what I could with what I had.I'll be at CMAC Friday with Jenn and our 2 kids.She has a Galaxy S3 also so maybe between my phone and her battery I can try and stream it for you.Please know in advance that if my kids become unmanageable I will have to bail and tend to them.They are well behaved so it might work out.I guess all I really offer is a glimmer of hope!Peace!!

Works22 on ustream has a video called Furthur Cooperstown

I can't post links! Search works22 in ustream

That's me! I had hoped to be able to stream for you all (I never have but I was willing to try) but it was my 10 month old granddaughter's first show and I got completely sidetracked by keeping a watchful eye on her. I am at the rest of the shows and am more than happy to give it a try. I have a Droid with a crappy battery but I can stream for as long as it goes. Maybe kfender and I could make plans to each stream 1 set or something.

By the way, can anyone tell me how to stop the video when I do stream?

Cooperstown was a fantastic show. Here's a great photo of me and my granddaughter dancing in the rain... it was awesome!
