I'm with you Equinox, this was a special show!

Also agree that BK is no slouch, but I'm trying to bait him into calling up Mickey and talking him into the Dead 2014 reunion tour. The 2009 tour reminded me that the signature sound of the Dead was the sound of Phil, Billy, and Mickey. Bob and Jerry were just the trim.
Thank You Cody, we are forever Grateful!

Hmmm. I wonder if that had anything to do with Stu playing these dates. If there is some sort of Dead reunion he might be the perfect guitarist. His sound is more overtly reminiscent of Jerry. I'm sure I'm reading way too much into it

I think Billy and Mickey still get along. I've seen them play together as recently as 2010. (Great show btw.) The problem is, as I've heard it, those two are resentful that Phil and Bobby started Furthur and didn't include them.

I know a lot of people didn't care for the '08/'09 Dead tour but the four shows I saw sounded fine to me. The drummers do bring a deep space groove that's largely missing from Furthur.

See what happens...

I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

Mickey and billy definetly get along as I can recall at bears picnic in August of 2012 Mickey played at 9 then after that billy played an when 7 walkers were playing Mickey joined in on cowbell it was great. Both seemed in the highest of spirits. I wonder why billy and Mickey don't play together as the rhythm devils and I also wonder why they don't all play as the dead with John k as guitarist or any other semi Jerry dude. I think they are doing a thing where every five years they have a major dead tour. 2004, 2009, 2014 should be the next hopefully
