What a ridiculously great show that was.
Jackie Greene was immense. Great energy. Great voice. Great guitar and keyboards.
I enjoyed that show more than anything since the Grateful Dead with Jerry.
And cool venue all around. Like a giant club. The Roseland will be similar.
Anyone who can get to a show on this mini tour...DO IT!-

This show was a powder keg of a show.
It was a long drive in rain and snow and wind and was glad kevin drove from the motel to the venue.
Phil was having a blast on this night. You could tell because he would take a deep breath a few times and exhale as any of us do to release the intense feeling of the moment.
jackie was feeling out of place a bit because of all the looking to phil and jk for direction as to verse chorus and any up coming lines etc. dont take this the wrong way because most anyone would be in this spot if not playing everyday with the same people.
My favorite song was stella blue and i recorded it but do you think i can post it?? Maybe some day. You could feel the emotion through out the song i think jk really connects with this song and just pours his heart out every time he sings it.
And joe is a beast is all i can say it seems as though he has turned his drumming up a notch. not that he was sloppy to start with but maybe it was the mix that made it seem that way.
Overall it was a solid show with the only complaint being how wet we all got walking from the parking garage to venue. -
