A very happening show last night at The Paramount in Huntington NY. If you like some spacey jams heavy on the percussion and rhythms, this band is for you. I don't have the setlist, but they did a bunch of stuff I didn't know, probably from the latest MHB CD, plus versions of Franklin's Tower, The Other One, FOTD. Dave Schools on bass, was a big part of the sound, great playing.
The Paramount is a NYC bar type of venue, GA on the floor with reserved seating in the perimeter balcony. There was a decent sized crowd but certainly room for lots more. I had balcony seats and was able to move around to get different viewing points. A section on the floor with lots of dancers and spinners.
BTW, DSO has just been announced at The Paramount for Dec 30 & 31. A Mattson & Barraco homecoming as they started as local musicians in this neck of the concrete.
