Taper Notes:
Well I joined the party late, caught-up with Live Olympic Fever.
I have Comcast (shhh please) in the S.Jersey/Phila market.
I opened the show via my Safari browser using Audio HiJack Pro.app
This way I can view the audio levels with classic, cool, Sony D-5 VU Meters with the 2 bouncing needles.
For Input Gain Adjustment (plus or minus) there are Green,Led bouncing digital meters that have a clipping indicator for each channel.
The beauty of TRi Studios Digital is that even with a low input level on my end, (which seemed to be from the source) when I cranked the gain up to maximum (plus 250%) there was zero distortion or noise.
The dancers came to life and I had to vent the apartment.
I settled on plus 200% for our listening party which was just fine for 1am.
I've had low input-levels from web-broadcast before on Sirius.
So I hunted around and found some hidden volume controls when I scrolled down to the bottom of the Sirius page to boost the volume up somewhat.
GD Radio is always "Too Much Of Every-ThiNg iS JUST ENOUGH".
Their audio levels go down a touch, while watching the clipping indicator if recording. PERFECT
Any,who seeing the audio levels is just adds a little "Throw-back-Memory"
Thanks again for all of the people behind the scenes who make the production run flawless on the user end.
I hope you have fun Sunday in the park.
