Since last night I emailed support twice about the slowness and once just a little while ago. This is their response....
Hi,
We have very heavy traffic during the show with 10s of thousands of visitors. The site will become slow, especially database active pages like the Forum.

To be honest I'm a little disappointed in this response. They aren't doing anything to fix the problem it seems like......Dreams are lies...it's the dreaming that's real!!!!-

I'm sorry, but I think that response is completely inadequate, and quite frankly makes the support folks look like they were giving us a line of bull when they said they had new server for us.
