Re: Set List 4/10/12 Beacon Theater NYC, NY!!#144896 1 year, 7 months agoGreat show last night! I do agree. however, that Truckin' was a bit slo-mo and perhaps a missed que, or subdued solo, here and there, which are all minor things. Having said that, they were really cooking at times especially in the second set. At one point, Jeff was holding a series of note, a piano riff, kind of alternating with Phil, and it was done with such perfectly flawless timing and machine precision that it was very impressive. It was almost in a record skip kind of way but quite musical, Was it during Unbroken>Eleven? Cumberland and Prudence were stand out!
Wish I could make them all.
As an aside I started a thread about the possibility of Furthur moving their Spring NYC 'residency' to Radio City id the band can swing it.
Without a Spring East Coast Tour which might include Chicago Ohio, etc, the ticket demand is enormous and we are all at the mercy of Scalpers --Big Time!
While Furthur cannot do much about TicketMaster skullduggery, they could move it to Radio City which is almost twice the capacity.
We would have better chance of getting in!
i think they could sell out Radio City during another 'residency.'
As a bonus, RC is much bigger not just in capacity but in lobby space, hallways, and a tremendous amount of toilets -- you almost never have to wait. The Beacon has one Ladies and one Gents. Heck RC is much easier to enter. The Beacon's entrance is your worst human traffic jam. RC is closer to many more subway lines too.
Security? No difference. The security is a consequence of the Nanny State. I am so sick of Big Government!
The Beacon is more ornate. The decorum is more interesting. That is its only plus, or us anyway.

Re: Set List 4/10/12 Beacon Theater NYC, NY!!#145117 1 year, 7 months agoWow did I miss the board last night! I got on once but was immediately kicked off. But I did enjoy the stream immensely. I can't believe I missed Esau - I was at the Boston and Wallingford shows just hoping and hoping! When I heard it come over the stream I was partly syked and partly pissed! You can't get lost when you're always found...
