I'm still at work and having a hard time sitting still... if I was not going next weekend already, I'd be hopping in my car and driving down there for this one instead!

No kidding. How far is the drive for you to TC?

It's 560 short miles to TC.

It's 560 long miles back home.

the show was free. they let the first 150-200 people in line into the restaurant and then would only let 10 people in once 10 people left.

everyone was downstairs, the upstairs was blocked off with big sheets of plastic. the bar and restaurant were both going, tho i was not impressed with the food at all. im sure it will get better once they get things going, but if there wasnt any music, i woulda felt pretty ripped off. but with the music, it was well worth the price. i would have paid 60 bucks for 2 saltines to see that.

no shakedown, crowd mostly older well dressed, no crusty tour kids, except a few. at one point i was sitting at my table eating while phils playin and people come and start twirling and spinning right next to the table. that was a bit surreal.

to be honest im sure he's saving alot of the musical goodness for the paid shows. being only a few feet away from phil and JC was priceless, but the quality of music was far better at a furthur show, not even considering the other players, just phil and JC...so while it isnt quite like that wet dream you have of sitting right on stage, feet away as the magic happens at a furthur/GD/etc show, well, it was pretty darn close...
