Re: fav. non hippy band/musician#114021 2 years, 2 months agokind of a pointless question without some set boundaries. I don't know what a hippie is, or a hippie is not, in the context of this question.
Roscoe HolcombYou aren't interesting or clever when you write or speak in the lyrics of others. Rather, what are YOUR words?
It's dead and over when close enough is good enough.

Is Eddie Vedder a Hippy?
Yes and no
Put me down for Pearl Jam then
Some old Woodie Guthrie or Bob Seager or Elton John.
To recommend someone check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Hansard
He played a Midnight Ramble on Feb 12 @ Levon Helm's, I saw him open for Eddie Vedder last summer and he was really good.
Very talented former street musician for Ireland read his story. She tries to live by the golden rule.
Said you treat other people right,
Other people probably treat you cool.

Re: fav. non hippy band/musician#114430 2 years, 2 months agoVery hard to think of any single band or artist that has affected me at the level the Grateful Dead has.
I've always loved the classics. Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Bob
Dylan, Moody Blues, and Led Zeppelin. Amongst others. the 60's and 70' were my favorite era, but I
love classical, and jazz too. Blues, R&B, even some metal. If it's played well, and with spirit, I like it.I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.
