What covers would you like to hear Furthur play?

#70852 2 years, 11 months ago
I've always loved going to shows and not knowing what you're going to hear. After over a dozen shows I am still hearing stuff at each show that surprises me or is new to me. What new covers would you like to hear them try? I would love to hear "The Rainbow Connection" or "Can you picture that", both from the Muppet Movie. I would also like to hear them cover some John Prine. What are your wishes for cover songs they have yet to play?

I know it isn't the best fit......just think it would be cool to hear "The night they drove old dixie down"

Dylans watching the river flow; Simple twist of fate too. Plus plenty of others. I PERSONALLY want to hear Dylan's hurricane. And anything by the band. and.....

Like freaking Christmas in Toys R US, I can keep going all day long..........

Good call on John Prine. Great musician. I really enjoy his stuff.

Gimme Shelter

Also like the rainbow connection idea. Not sure who sounds the most like Kermit or could pull off the vocals. Maybe an instrumental like they did for When You Wish Upon a Star.

The guys have tipped their hats to a handfull of 80s bands and done some fantastic covers from that era. As a younger head, it would be really cool for them to aknowledge some of the fantastic song writters of the 90s. Maybe some Pearl Jam or Nirvana.
