The last 3 non GD things I listened to, a live Kingfish show, from 76, A live Bob Marley show, from 79, and Van Morrison's "Moondance"
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

I'm liking that Deep Dark Woods stuff. Do they allow taping? any live shows you can link? I checked the archive, they are not on there...

Sorry, Canyon, I wish I had some live stuff myself! From their website :

"The timeless sound of the aptly named "The Deep Dark Woods" belongs to the depressing winters of the north."

They are Ontario boys that seem to only play in that area. I hope they do a little tour someday soon.

On a side note : I think it's great that because of the internet (something I usually rail against) bands like this, that would otherwise only be known in a small circle of people around their home town, and only play small coffee houses, etc before disappearing into oblivion, can instead get exposure to a world wide audience. Not only does it bring the band a better shot at success, but we get to enjoy their music! Who knows how many Beatles, Grateful Dead, Etc quality acts have simply gone unnoticed over the years? It's disturbing to think about it in a way.

For what it's worth they are on iTunes. "As I Roved Out", "Birds On The Bridge", "Redwood Forest", and their take on "All Around This World" are good.
