I went to that JGB show. It was supposed to be a couple nights earlier and got postponed, to the same night as Zappa at Jones Beach. I sold my Zappa ticket to see JGB even though I had never seen Zappa live. I ended up seeing Zappa once.

Good Skates Roller Rink transformed in a short lived music venue, it was packed and very hot and uncomfortable. JGB played a hell of a show.

Capital Center Landover MD between 1986 and 1995 I saw 18 shows there and starting in 1994 the place was renamed the US Air Arena. The place was kinda shitty, horrible security etc but some great shows ie Phil's 50th, the Ripple encore etc.

The Onmi is now gone, and replace by Philips Arena

We'll I lived and worked Atlanta for 15 yrs. and in 1991, I had installed a small whole-house audio system for the General Manager of the OMNi Arena , downtown Atlanta. Well Bob returned the favor and when spring tour '92 arrived I used my marker.
We had use of his limousine all 3 shows, executive-box (with restroom n beer) for 1 show and floor seats for the other 2 shows.

What a treat for my pals who drove down from Phila. with some "Elvis" Mummers Parade costumes. and a Pope too. Jim Shed-mother wore the Pope hat.

There are a few venues besides the Omni that have fallen to the wrecking ball before 1988.
That's when I first visited Atlanta to kick-start a tour.
We stayed at the downtown Holiday Inn and spent every day in Little Five Points having a mighty swell time.
