Mid 80's and I was halfway through high school ... lots of reggae, pretty good concert circuit coming through my area in the day, folks like Jimmy Cliff, Pato Banton, Freddie McGregor, Maxi Priest, Pablo Moses and so on. Wore out my Peter Tosh & Bob Marley LP's. I was also very partial to the Talking Heads and Paul Simon. The Dead opened up my interest in blues & country, among other things.-
