an absolute favorite is hard to say, but I love Jelly Roll Morton because I love ragtime.
When I was playing piano I would only practice the rags and not the classical pieces.
My teacher got fed up with me, said I had no discipline.
I always associate JRM with this pronouncement about my general character, which I have tried so hard to embrace.
