I don't rreally like Mohegan Sun either, that's another down fall of their tour is picking 2 nights in that place during some nice spring weather..... the tickets are always way more then anywhere else and security is usually pretty tight ........ suprisingly when Furthur played there neither of those 2 things were true.... I guess it is technically a nice venue though

The Beach Boys have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, probably because beneath that clean exterior.... well, we all know what was beneath. i absolutely love the 4/27/71 section with them.
Thanks Charlie Miller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately my first Beach Boys show Brian was touring with them, in '77 at Pine Knob. Me Mum took us, bless her heart. This guy Billy Joel was the opening act, wonder whatever become of him?

IMHO the Beach Boys made some of the best music ever. I'd highly recommend the albums Summer Days/Summer Nights, Pet Sounds, Smiley Smile and Wild Honey. Also the Beach Boys In Concert is a great live album.

dont forget about today!

today! is a favorite of mine, it is the stepping stone between the early bubblegum surf pop days and the pet sounds days. you can hear their transformation when you switch from side A to B of the record. side A is pop, surf music, and side B is the first offering of a large chunk of pet sounds style music/ballads the BB's released.

ill be catching them at the greek in berkeley, but have been tossing around the idea of driving down to LA to see them in their home town...go to the wilson family home, carls grave, etc, then go to the show at the hollywood bowl. ill likely just end up going to the greek which is 20min from my house, but a man can dream...

they've got a vid up on youtube of the full remake of do it again.
