They'd probably make some good money if they did.

The technology is there. Just up to them. Phish has been doing it for awhile. They have their own crew.
Furthur would have to start from the beginning, and they may not see it as worthwhile in the long run.

I should add, that I would support them if they did. That would be couch tour deluxe!

Ya know, I was wondering why also. I just watched the 3 night run of String Cheese Incident live from Chicago. It was on iclips. Matter of fact, Mickey Hart Bant was live tonight, but I had to work or I would have gotten that also. I so wish Further would consider doing this pay-per-view stuff. Specially for the sold out Beacon shows.
All the things I planned to do, I only did half way..... ☮ & ♥

I know 83 would like it. Honestly, if they could do it on Iclips, and keep the cost down to 5 or 6 bucks a night,
Yeah I could do that.

I have to say that I'm very, very impressed with the quality of this iclips broadcast of Mickey. It's more than worth the 7 bucks, especially running it through the TV/stereo. I'd sure pay at least that for any and all Furthur shows!! And it's hard to imagine that they wouldn't still sell just as many tickets to the venues.

Believe it or not, in a parallel universe a long time ago... the GD NYE show was on the USA cable network 12-31-85. No pay per view just regular cable tv. Before that, they had a closed circuit broadcast to theaters throughout the country for the Halloween 1980 show ..the first show I attended haha 600 miles away. The technology has improved a lil since then. I'm attending this year but it sure seems like in this day and age it wouldn't be to hard to do. Oh and this was fun at the Stanley in Pittsburgh Live as it went down:

10/31/80 (Fri) Radio City Music Hall - New York City, NY

Set 1: Heaven Help The Fool, Sage And Spirit, Little Sadie, Monkey and the Engineer, It Must Have Been The Roses, Cassidy, Bird Song > Ripple

Set 2: Jack Straw, Cold Rain & Snow, Me & My Uncle > Mexicali Blues, Ramble On Rose > Little Red Rooster, Brown Eyed Women > Looks Like Rain > Deal

Set 3: Don't Ease Me In > Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance > Franklin's Tower > Drums > Fire On The Mountain > Not Fade Away > Stella Blue > Goin' Down the Road Feeling Bad > Good Lovin', E: Uncle John's Band

Comment: FM Broadcast and Close Circuit TV First Set Acoustic

oh shit and I just remembered a PPV on 12-31-87
