A guitar playing Rabbi in a band called Sage and Spirit? Awesome!
Amazish, your love of the music comes through in your words, right on.
I hope this doesn't offend you in any but there used to be a "Jews for Jerry" bumper sticker around the GD scene
"There is a surge of radio shows playing GD recently here. And a Dead gathering is held once a year."
Curious...can you say more about this?"if you don't like the news go out and make some of your own"-

the year I was living I living up at Mt Scopus, I met a whole bunch of deadheads from the states and they talk about how NYE was the GD show to catch, so that NYE in Israel, we said we would meet up the next year in Oakland, CA for NYE.
when I arrive in SF, Ronna & her cousin Lisa, gave me a "Jews for Jerry" button. still have it on my old levi's jacket...I rather be

Alright, you've got the button, that's sweet!
"I met a whole bunch of deadheads from the states and they talk about how NYE was the GD show to catch, so that NYE in Israel, we said we would meet up the next year in Oakland, CA for NYE."
Ah the pilgrimage to NYE.. I heard so many stories of similar meet ups, peeps from all over the world.
I always thought a great book would be to take 1 GD show, especially a NYE and collect travel tales, short stories..who travelled the longest..who had the toughest road trip...who barely made by show time..who met someone they are now married to/divorced from that night..who got laid behind the stage...who didn't expect to be at that show but ended up there..on and on..one show, so many stories..would make a great read, no? Don't Steal my Book idea, anyone... I'm watching you Blair, Silberman."if you don't like the news go out and make some of your own"-

Hi Amazish, welcome to the forums and greetings to you and all of the fans in Israel. These forums are new, but you probably know that. So far we have seen that Phil logs in every now and then. He has not logged in since March 29. They just finished their spring tour, and should be at home now catching up with their home-base routine again. I imagine we'll see Phil login again sometime in the near future.

We could aid revolutions by arranging air drops of CD's and all our unwanted Maxwell 2's and tape decks to various opressed communities around the globe. Imagine the protesters clapping or rebels marching in unison to a smokin '77 NFA blasting."if you don't like the news go out and make some of your own" -
