Not sure if I'll be able to make the Beacon shows or not, but....

I just booked a room at the Beacon Hotel for the entire run, right next door to the Beacon Theater.

Rockinbob, maybe we could set up shakedown street in the hotel room.
Takin' it in stride!

If you could, would you post some info about that hotel? I really have very little experience with staying in NYC.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.

Really? Wow. I guess your right. I suppose if you split it 3 or 4 ways, it's not too bad.

Great hotel, great neighborhood. Yes, unfortunately not cheap.

Stayed there in 2006 when the Stones played the Beacon and only paid about $200/night.

Current reservation is at $355/night, ouch!!! But I can have up to 4 people in the room.

Not sure if I can swing it, but wanted to reserve the room before they sell out.

The back stage of the beacon can be accessed thru the hotel.

Ran into Chuck Leavell in the lobby.l

Big rooms by NYC standards. Some rooms are still apartments, still under rent control, so it's kinda like staying at a hotel that feels like an apartment building. Great grocer right across the street. Rooms have kitchenettes.

No charges on card until I arrive.

Can cancel up to 24 hours before 1st day for FULL refund.

Far from a high roller, but sometimes I do like to do it up right.
