Wow! Shocked. Dannel was the mayor of Stamford when I taught there a few years back... Didn't think he had it in him.

I think it's great for those who are suffering, taking chemo, etc., because the bottom line is that when a doctor prescribed the drug, marinol , (which contains THC) to a family member to increase appetite while on chemotherapy, it was the only thing, at the time that helped. The problem is, that even with a script, the insurance companies make you jump through all sorts of hoops to get it paid for, then they reject it, and make you pay hundreds of $$ for a thirty day supply. Some are then forced to do things illegally and they shouldn't have to. This will really help people, who otherwise would lose the will to live much sooner, due to lack of nutrition.

If anyone doesn't agree with this policy, refer to him as Daniel- he hates that!

PA will probably be the last state to get medical. Especially now that house, senate and governor is all republican

I finished a so far successful treatment for Hep C. All of my Doctors refused to prescribe Marinol on ethical purposes. I asked but did not push it. My insurance provider had no problems with dispensing the drug at an affordable cost.

I used illegal MMJ. The MMJ helped make the treatment doable.
