Never been at a festival that has come close to the greatness of Big Cypress, the Went, the Wheel, etc...Outside of the Phish festivals I love High Sierra and Mountain Aire (back in the 90's) The first year at Bonnaroo was a blast (2002) but that was a one and done for me

(ilagally) unlicensed security, nonrepsonsive e/obstructionsist management, as regards violence on the event site, etc. not a safe environment for fans OR vendors, no concidence that furthur is same weekend this year, IMO

I say the VIBES. Bridgeport is an armpit but once in Seaside Park it's beautiful. Very family friendly and last year they went a huge way to keep out a lot of the sketch factor we saw in years past. Great lineup this year too!

Grassroots Festival in Upstate NY (Trumansburg) is an excellent festival. There is all sorts of great music from all over the world- 4 stages, 4 days in July (after All Good) Same organizers also do a southern one in Shakorie Hills, NC. Happy Travels!
