No, I get it. I'm not familiar enough with the whole tour to have picked it out, but I knew that Rochester show
was the same date as the 84 show.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.

Well 1984 was the last time the Dead played the Civic Covention Center Hall in Philly. Matter of fact, that building was torn down about 10 years ago.

Yeah, the Aladin Hotel Theatre in Las Vegas seemed suspicious from the beginning. I mean out of all the places to play in Vegas something seemed wrong with that choice.

And I just realized Pine Knob hasn't been using that name for several years now, it's DTE Energy theater. I knew that July 1st date sounded too familiar!

I thought those venue names sounded suspiously familiar. What memories this list brings back! Mardi Gras hard to get into at the Marin Civic, camping at China Camp...hitchhiking down to Irvine, and getting there to be told that ticketless heads were being smuggled in through the wild animal park adjacent...the New Yorker in me said you mean through them lions and shit? No thanks, I'll go in the traditional way through the front gate... but our friend who grew up down there took in several parties that way...craziest scam in I ever heard of...after I got in I went up to the top where the fence was and sure enough every now and then somebody would scale the fence and drop down into the concert, the guards stood right there and let them in; I guess they figured if they had the balls to come in that way they weren't going to drive them back into the wild animal park. The early '80's was the shit, man! Anybody remember the story of the stolen lawn jockeys in the New England area?
