I always have wanted to talk to the tapers, being a electronic digital geek myself but I don't know if they are open to discussion much while they are taping etc.

Sure you can talk to them. Of course not while they're taping, setting up, or tearing down. They put more effort into
a show than most of us do. But I find they usually love what they do. I like to talk to them. I've known lots of friends
who've taped, and introduced me to other tapers. And it's cool to meet new folks. There aren't as many as there used
to be, but they primarily still tape for themselves first, but love sharing with us too. Think of how, what they've done,
has changed the direction of the Grateful Dead, and us. Thank you tapers. And please, keep taping.
