Crosby & Nash now involved in Occupy Movement

#82554 2 years, 8 months ago
Yes, it's true! David Crosby & Graham Nash have gotten involved in the Occupy Movement. They played for the crowd and even wrote a new protest song inspired by the movement. You can here their take on it on Keith Oberman's show below and they make some really good points.

They even say that the government has been bought...something that Bobby has starting singing in "Throwing Stones". And, they are friends. So, it's not unfathomable that the band would get involved or donate money.

This is the protest de jour for them. I saw them in concert a few years ago and it was all about Iraq. It just seems like they use it to there own personal benefit. Shut up and play music.

There is a long, rich tradition of musicians being involved with America social protest. Sorry if it offends you.

Just saw a clip of their performance on CNN. Good for them.

The movement has finally gotton very organized and each faction doing it's job and keeping it as real as they cac. Hard not to always keep out the riff raff of course. But so much better.
This sould have happened many many years ago. I wish so many would not have had to suffer first.
In a grammatical sense from a poster: bobby is not singing about it (present tense) in Throwing Stones. Bobby always sang about it in Throwing Stones!
Since I 1st heard it in 1984. Same night as my 1st --GREY:lol:
It began then. I was there when it began, with the word yuppie, that administartion and what that word meant. It meant that what you own and overconsume will fullfill you, and is alot less work than seeking wisdom and considering other humans in your SELF. Just make $$$ buy it!
The GD were always involved in many things. Just more quiet than other well known. Always.

Saw CSNY in concert a few years ago. Their first set was of all new songs bashing Bush and Iraq War. I would have been ok with it if the songs were any good but they were terrrrrrrrrible.

Keith Oberman's show is not as cool as
seeing them talk about it with Amy Goodman and Won Gozalis of Democracy Now
