In the dead of winter yes you are right the snow is dry as a bone. But in spring/fall the snow is super wet. We got a big sloppy wet snowstorm about this time last year that destroyed all of my trees.

Wow. That is no fun at all. Amazing how nature can just wipe things out at will. I lost a bunch of trees last year to an ice storm and 9 years ago to a wind storm that funneled 90 mph winds through the Valley.

The total trade off of living in the mountains...........beautiful with unreal scenery and so much to do outdoors.........yet some real nasty weather from time to time that rarely happens in the lowlands.
