Horror Movies

I love them. Grew up watching them with my family, we would all laugh at them. It was fun.

Watching Tales from the Darkside right now.

Anyone else love this time of year?!

The Shining. Watch that late one night, in the dead of winter. Still scares me.

I can't come down, it's plain to see.

I loved old school horror movies when I was a kid (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.) I grew up in Chicago watching the Saturday night creature features with Son of Svengoolie on channel 32. Then the slasher movie became popular, but I had a hard time watching those. I loved being scared, but I hated it at the same time. The movie Halloween really freaked me the fuck out. Especially that music.

Don't forget Freaks. Deeply unsettling.

As for The Shining, I love the film, but read the book. it's MUCH scarier.

The shining is high art to be certain.
