I keep checking for updates with the local media. I know the autopsy was perfroemd last week. I just keep waiting to ehar something about the glass was faulty, or something. I dunno. I still can't believe someone really had the desire to do that. MAybe its because i cant get the images outta my mind, but i so believe it was a tragic accident.... Mainly because right before it happened there wasnt any commotion, yelling, or anything. Nothing at all, and I was RIGHT THERE. Just crash. Fucking terrible.

And, i know its selfish.... but i hate it that when I think of my night with Furthur, all i think about is the accident. The music is an afterthought.

It's pretty apparent (for whatever reason) he did it on purpose. It's also apparent that no one in the general vicinity of him when it happened could have done anything to prevent it. Don't beat yourself up over it. If the autopsy shows he was high on something then maybe that will be the blame. If he was sober and did this then it was a foolish selfish act that everyone but he will have to live with. Sorry, i do not support suicide in any form. It's a chicken shit way out of life's problems that leaves a lifetime of sadness for the loved ones a person leaves behind when they take the easy way out.

I'm sorry you had to witness this. Just horrible. I think you are doing the right thing in sharing the story and getting it off your chest.

The fact is that life is often brings intense coincidences your way. Please don't think there was anything you could have done. There wasn't. Sometimes you just draw the short straw.
