Are the New Year shows, the last?

#71881 3 years ago
Some how I feel this is it for the band. Gossip dictates Phil is leaving and making other plans. As John Lennon says:

"Life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans".
"Standing on the moon,
With nothing left to do.
A lovely view of heaven,
But I'd rather be with you - be with you!

Without love in a dream, it will never come true.

All this talk is sending bad vibes through the community. I wish people would take their gossip from the band and there is no talk of ending. Listen to all the good rumors out there like Europe in 2012.

actually that Phil leaving rumor was put to rest over a week ago. look at the home page of this site it says "Furthur will say goodbye to 2011 AND RING IN 2012 with a three night run ....."

the new rumor is more multi night runs on the east coast for spring 2012!

ok ok i know i have stated i prefer ratdog liike alot, but furthur in europe in 2012, shit, that would be worth me hoppin the pond.
but all seriousness aside, i think after NYE, furthur will take a break, not stop touring, or anyting, but probably take a few months off, cause if you count how many shows they have played this year. we were bitchin about no west cooast shows earlier this year, and they are goin to have played like 9 shows in CA b4 years end. thats one state.
i thnk they need a rest, and 'sides bob probably wonts to play with TRI.
dont freak out, im sure summer will bring the boys back around, i hope with bill and mick back.

the same person who started the Phil leaving rumor told everyone how he was pranked and then told everyone they'll be doing 2 or 3 new years shows and then more multi night runs on the east coast in the spring, like 1 or 2 weeks ago

Don't let gossip run your life. Only Phil will decide what Phil will do. I'm planning on shows next year.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.

Ringing in the New Year is just that and nothing more than just ringing in the New Year.

Who knows? But at least we got more than two months to enjoy them. I think will get more in 2012. Good question though
And I'm going to sit right here until I die
