A review of a show in RELIX magazine years ago stuck with me, referring to a "Box of Rain" with vocals "only a mother or deadhead could love."
I think he may have taken some voice coaching somewhere in the early P&F's days, cuz he'd gotten noticeably more tuneful and, dare I say, professional sounding. He really belts 'em out these days and, please, the man's 71! I'm all about it!
