So what are your favorite books about the Dead, individual band members, the scene?
Any books of fiction involving the band or scene?

I'm currently reading Living With The Dead by Rock Scully. It's supposed to be one of the more lurid books out there, lots of stuff about his and Jerry's use/abuse of the Persian. That's actually why I bought it, to get the real dirt on Garcia's addiction. However since Rock did get fired by the band I realize he has an axe to grind, so I take a lot of what he says with a grain of salt.

Living with The Dead is a very good read. at the end Rock says that he saw Jerry sometime in the 90s and told him that he was writing a book about The Dead and Jerry says something like "hell man just tell the truth, and try not to be to hard on me". I really don't think Rock was lieing about anything in the book with intentions of getting back at anybody....

I have Phil's book, soon I'm going to start that. I just finished the GD Scrapbook and am going through Grateful Dead365 now.
