For any song performed by the Grateful Dead the "bible" is dead.net --- there is a section for lyrics.

They have the official lyrics as written by Hunter, Barlow.... plus they tell you where the lyrics have been mixed up, changed plus sometimes interesting commentary.

For example, in Tom Thumb Blues you will find the line "And my best friend, my drummer, won't even tell me what it was that I dropped"... they way the Dead did it...not the way Dylan wrote it.

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you

Dead.net had the lyrics for every song the grateful dead have ever covered. As far as I can tell!! its one of the sections on the left hand side of the page. Has a few other neat categorizations of info on the dead there too.

may not be what you are looking for, but I've heard it told that J Darks on Youtube is a good resource for learning Dead tunes.

Here's a sample and there is a bunch more.
