I've noticed a trend where it seems there are certain threads that are used to bump down other threads. I suspect this is being
done because some users feel the need to determine what are important or not, and bump down those they don't like. I'm thinking specifically some users who are on here all the time it seems.

Anyway, my suggestion would be a new section of the forum called Games. This is where the lyric association and word association games could reside, and anything else of that nature not pertaining to discussion.

Problem!!!!
On the Fan Connect I have been hit by Spam twice.
If you look at my post on Fan Connect titled "ISO a ride from CA to Red Rocks"
You will see two new Fake users one named "HoldaGale" and another by "BrianAlan"
These new user will copy what the last user sead and then will put a link to some movie ads.
Is there anyway to stop this SPAM Garbage?

This forum is infected by a spam bot, are our systems at risk?

what can be done to stop all of these spam ads popping up. The Furthur Family Forum is overrun with all this crap and detracts from the beautiful scene that has been created here. Really annoying, I know it's probably a big effort to weed this stuff out, but it's really gotten bad lately.

Hey, we are watching closely those that are now joining. If we see spam we are deleting the accounts. You can also send us a note at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you see spam that has been up for a couple of days and we'll remove the account. We're looking into a different sign up process, hopefully that will stop the spammers. Thanks!

News users to the Forum will get CAPTCHA before being able to post. This will happen the first few times new users try to post.
