If they just made all pre sale tix will call only then it would solve a lot of the scalper issues. Tom Waits makes all his tix will call. It is kind of a pain in the ass show day, but it is way better than getting shut out by the scalpers.

Yup...I agree with this to a point. They could even use technology in unique ways for folks so inclined.

How about tickets and barcodes being emailed 15 minutes before doors open.

Let's be realistic, brokers are always going to get their hands on tickets, but the more difficult it is the better. As for all those MSG tickets. Patience will be a virtue. Decent tickets will be face or lower. Good seats will be about face. Really good seats will be available if you're lucky or flying single, and a C note will get you a really good ticket from a reliable source.

In the grand scheme of things $20 over face isn't so much when you also get to hold onto your money for another 2 months, and it might not even cost you that.

Please note that New York law prohibits the resale of tickets within one thousand five hundred feet from Madison Square Garden. In addition, New York law prohibits the sale of tickets to events at the Theater at Madison Square Garden for more than 20% above the price printed on the face of the ticket and prohibits the sale of tickets to events at the Arena for more than 45% above the price printed on the face of this ticket. Unlawful resale can be punishable by fine and/or imprisonment.

Right, that is New York law. So as long as these D-bags are over the bridge in Jersey (or anywhere else) they can sell them online for as much as they want
