Yup...I agree with this to a point. They could even use technology in unique ways for folks so inclined.
How about tickets and barcodes being emailed 15 minutes before doors open.
Let's be realistic, brokers are always going to get their hands on tickets, but the more difficult it is the better. As for all those MSG tickets. Patience will be a virtue. Decent tickets will be face or lower. Good seats will be about face. Really good seats will be available if you're lucky or flying single, and a C note will get you a really good ticket from a reliable source.
In the grand scheme of things $20 over face isn't so much when you also get to hold onto your money for another 2 months, and it might not even cost you that.
