Wilkes-Barre or Atlantic City?

#57492 3 years, 1 month ago
I cant decide. GA floor at the Mohegan vs. reserved seating at the boardwalk hall. I do like general admission, but I also love the beach. I suppose that AC could be a lot of fun now that I'm 21. Is it like Vegas? do they give you free booze to keep you gambling?

does anyone have experience with either of these venues? hows the sound, lot scene, ect...

I desperately need your help fellow boarders, please help me choose!

just do them both, easy choice!

I'm new to every venue on this tour so I can't really help you decide any furthur if you can't make both. There both on saturdays which are usually smoking shows.

I've been to both. Wilkes Barre's definitely a little smaller than AC. Overall, the acoustics might be a little better too. On the other hand, an AC crowd on a Saturday night might be a little wilder which might make for a more intense show.

Due to time constraints I could only do one of the two shows and I ended up mail ordering for AC.

Atlantic City has absolutely NO lot scene AT ALL. I'm not going on tour , but have seen the schedule and would skip the AC show and stick around NY for the couple shows up there. Wilkes Barre is pretty chill.

If i were on tour, I'd skip Charlottesville and Atlantic City. Syracuse to Ac back past Syracuse all the way to Buffalo...thats not happening. Amherst to Charlottesville back to NYC...nah...I would just skip AC and VA. But the only show I'm catchin is Atlantic City cause I live 30 minutes west. If i were in Syracuse and drove 6 hours to AC then the next day drive 9 hours to Buffalo...I'd have to check my head...maybe for the DEad with Billy and Mickey...but not furthur...I take that back....I wouldnt even do that if it were the Dead. If jerry were still playin...most likely , but still....its a wierd lineup of shows to try and hit them all. But most are consecutive with nearby cities. Maine is a great place as is NH and Mass.

I would like to go to both but I think that I only have enough money to get one ticket now, I think its got to be Wilkes-barre. general admission, smaller venue, cheaper hotel, cheaper tickets. I could always go to John Paul Jones too, its only an hour and a half away, but I doubt that will be the best show of the tour. I dislike the large basketball arenas, except maybe MSG (I wish that was on a weekend and for like 5 nights)

hard to say anything because only you know the type of scene you are looking for...yeah casinos are going to give you whatever kind of booze you want if you will continue spending your money in their place of business...never been to boardwalk hall so i can't give many details on the place..i have been to the wilkes-barre venue although it was under a different name like the "wachovia center" or something then....the one right off 81 if it is the one i am thinking of...didn't s ee much law enforcement or anything...nice big lot full blown vending...for me when i decide on those 2 shows i go with wilkes-barre---easy enough to get there, i know the area, general admission floor (my favorite)....AC is just too much of an inconvenience for an upstate new yorker like myself sandwiched between cuse and buf
who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?

Charlottesville and Columbus for the jimps. Superior lodging options at unbeatable prices with plenty of winery, cullinary, and other activities available. Atlantic city is expensive at best although the white house sub shop is there but that is better experienced during an off season/ non holiday time trip to the area. South jeresy has some of the best eating establishments around so if you are a foodie , AC would be your best bet. Don't get suckered in by the casinos. My dad worked at the trump castle , now trump marina for many many years and I am grateful to the people who paid his salary there lol. Have fun
Please tell Governor Christie of NJ to open the records
