"This week's sharp increase in solar activity has turned the sun into a radio transmitter. Bursts of shortwave static are coming from the unstable magnetic canopy of sunspot 1283. Tuesday in New Mexico, amateur radio astronomer Thomas Ashcraft recorded some samples at 21 MHz: listen. Radio listeners should remain alert for this kind of solar activity as sunspot 1283 continues to seethe."
If someone out there more technically capable than myself could somehow mix a sick Phil jam (maybe 01?) with this minute long clip of what the sun is sounding like these days, I think it could sound pretty sweet. Of course, if the man himself wanted to start playing around with "space" jams......well, it almost makes me giggle to think of him and perhaps some other talented musicians simply playing to live transmissions of nature and/or the universe.
If only Furthur could play during an eclipse.......
