Honestly though, i think the idea went down during the dot.com bust of the late 90's, plus band infighting at the time probably complicated things.

Nice to see a few seedlings finally popping up from this original idea as of late though, with the UC Santa Cruz museum and Bobby's TRI venue...Hopefully it all goes somewhere.

they probably figured out what a huge undertaking it was
i doubt if any of the guys are really business men
they probably gave it a try and got a look at what it would entail ( dealing with lawyers, architects, consultants and all the square outsiders ) and decided to sell the vault,the merchandising and donate the archive to the college.
then they could just concentrate on being a band and playing music
