The NYE shows from this year are what got me hooked on this band.

Phils 71st B-day show has also been spun quite a few times. However if you're into more of the dead-side of things and not the Beatles covers might not be for you...

FURTHUR FESTIVAL!! It was so awesome hearing songs like Dupree's Diamond Blues and Mountains of the Moon played with Larry Campbell on fiddle! EPIC WEEKEND!

That's awesome! The NYE shows from 09-10 were my first Furthur shows and I was instantly hooked! I drove all the way from Chicago for NYE, then drove back for Furthur Fest 5 months later! I LOVE THE GRATEFUL DEAD!

out of shows i've been too, 3/12/11 Saturday at Best Buy was my favorite.

red rocks and furthur fest had some killer shows as well...

My story is that I saw these guys at Radio City last year for the first time.

I was not super impressed musically. But I was also biased by the fact that I thought
it was really weird that they hired a guy who had spent most of his life trying to nail Jerry's
sound and phrasing. After so many evolutionary Phil & Friends experiences, this seemed
like a step backwards and not a step 'Furthur.'

I'm not usually the type to let those things get in my way. (Ya know people that say, yea
but it's the point of the thing!) But for some reason, that one bothered. I kept thinking...
Jerry would be creeped out by this. He hated nostalgia!

But it's been a while. They have one less drummer now. I love Joe Russo. And it's silly of me
not to give these guys another chance. So thus, this email.

Now...Anyone have an extra for this weekend to turn a non-believer into a believer?

I have listened to all the shows from this current tour and a good amount from last year. My favorite so far is:

2/11/2011 1st Bank Center - Broomfield, CO

......man that was a solid show.

three already mentioned that i rank in the top three i've seen are 7/5/10 Stroudsburg, PA 9/25/10 Red Rocks and 11/20/10 MSG....two others you should DEFINITELY check out are 11/9/10 Ames, IA and 11/16/10 Reading, PA

also, check out the three shows from broomfield in feb 2011. the playing at these shows was on a very 'high' level for the mountain scene...very few negative things to speak of in terms of music, community, and scene..i feel honored and privileged that i was able to attend these

at the end of this tour i will add to this thread again with what i believed to be the cream of the crop this time around

I don't think Furthur has been around long enough to say "EVER"... maybe the best show "SO FAR"...

7/11/2010 has a smoking Shakedown, among other stand outs.
