I second that emotion...

I favor eliminating the "thumbs down" option

if not, then scrap the whole karma points thing entirely

If someone unjustifiably takes karma points from you, karma will come back to bite them in the ass.

Well I don't think the karma rating is ridiculous. It produced this thread and it's one of the best laughs I've had in a long time.
