Hopefully, they won't be going off sniffing drainpipes.

THAT IS MY FAVORITE VERSE OF DESOLATION ROW

Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk
Passed this way an hour ago
With his friend, a jealous monk
He looked so immaculately frightful
As he bummed a cigarette
Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet
Now you would not think to look at him
But he was famous long ago
For playing the electric violin
On Desolation Row

it'd be killer to see bobby bust this out, even if he needs the teleprompter
who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?

i was first disgusted to see those band names in the same article title then i read about OAR saxophonist making the comment about how not being able to play jones beach is missing out on a big payday...fuck him...

I didn't take it liek that- I think he is saying it's a big plae that sells out well and it is OUTDOORS in the NYC area that he liked.. and the band likes to play because it's outdoors... and they can make $150,000 playing there (kind of like the icing on the cake)....

Without a doubt my fave. Unfortunately my last one was on 7/2/95. Gate crashing mother f**kers at Deer Creek. What an awful week. A portend of what was to come. I think we have a better shot at a" Brother Esau" , or Lazy Lightinin' > Supplication", than a "Desolation Row". But I will take any, and all of these. Who's with me?

Im glad i wasnt at that woodstock in the 90s did look like it sucked. green day was the frikin shit that day....mud slides and dancin?!

I used to really like OAR. Then it just seemed they were going into a different direction then I was into. It also seemed like they were trying too hard to become big. And that quote from their sax player sort of proves my point.
Lost interest with DMB too. Mainly because of the parking lot scene. Never had a problem with any dead related bands or Phish. Just the occasional drunk or some guy trying to sell me pot.
