I am working on achieving a goal to help stop so many animals be given to shelters . Much food is needd and this thread is good. But the root of the problem is lazy and selfish people who get a dog then fail to take the very small responsibilities of taking care of them. Most people think pets need only food and water. They find that they also need to see a vet when needed and also yearly for shots. Also, exercise is not just something to get them out and cheer them up and socialize with other dogs, but for thier health. Many people fail to do this or simply not enough as needed. It doesnt take much to take care of a pet, but many people are so lazy that these few simple things I've listed become too much for a lazy society. I want to help educate people and continue to do what i do. My group gives out dog leashes to promote exercise, doghouses to help ensure pets are living good, and info on anti chaining laws.
