I was thinking about this the other day if The Dead do reunite for their 50th reunion they really should do 50 shows that year! And not just in one spot. All across the country. North, South, East, West and don't forget the MIDWEST!!!!!!!!!! That way everyone has a fair chance of a close show! I think that 50 shows within 365 days is very do-able. Especially for Phil who is apparently off the tour bus.

Thank you for not referring to them as the Core Four

Another Dead 2015 hint?

Phil Lesh & Friends start a 3 night run in Philadelphia next Monday, November 11, at the Tower Theatre! There are still a few tickets left, so get yours now for Phil's last Philadelphia-area shows until 2015!

I revamp my idea for Dead 2015 lineup. haha

Bobby, Phil, Mickey, Bill, JK, Jeff C and Donna's keyboardist Freeman White (have you heard this guy?! SOUNDS JUST LIKE BRENT), Donna

I think that about covers it.

Wow, Freeman is born and bred in my neck of the woods, met him and partied together more than once. Didn't realize he is Donna's keyboardist and YES he is AMAZING

I think this would work: Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Bruce Hornsby, Donna Jean Godchaux, Steve Kimock and John Kadlecik (with special appearances by Branford Marsalis, Bob Dylan, Tom Constanten, Robert Hunter, Zakir Hussain, Carlos Santana, Dickey Betts, et al. )

Or if Phil does not want to tour, they could have a Deadapalooza 2015 Festival Tour featuring Scaring the Children, the Rhythm Devils, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Robert Hunter, and the Donna Jean Godchaux Band.

Whatever happens, though, my primary wish for the 50th anniversary celebration is that it will include Bruuuce. If Hornsby is a part of Dead 2015, then they could have any lead guitarist (or none at all) up there, and it would still be great.

I would definitely prefer Phil on Bass but if he's not into it, Alphonso would be a capable replacement.
Maybe Dave Schools.

As for the Lead Guitar spot, no Warren!
Give me Kimock, JK, Jimmy H., Stu Allen, Mattson, anyone but Warren, please !

I still see a big weekend fest, with the core four, and all the rest, joining in. It'll be a jubilee!
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.
