Well it is a bummer if true. I think Furthur was the best we had since Jerry's passing. I do like RatDog and Phil and Friends but just think Furthur was the best since 1995.

agreed, but the core 4 with Kimock, JK, Chimenti, and possibly Hornsby (maybe even Sunshine!) would be the bee's kneez.

Phil plays with a rotating line up of gun slingers from all over the country. There is no shortage of folks that enjoy shredding the strings with him at TXR on school nights even.

true, but the title of this thread is 'Dead 2015"
i dont want no B.S. lead guitarist next summer.
it will be haynes and scofield i think.
OR KIMOCK.
the fact that KIMOCK one man couuld do a better job than any other 2 men should be enough.

The new Rolling Stone issue (with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the cover) has an article by David Fricke on Phil Lesh.

My copy has not arrived in the mailbox yet, but I'm hearing some conflicting reports about what Phil says regarding future collaborations with Bobby and the drummers. . . anyone have a copy of this interview yet?

That deserves it's own thread Gordon. I would love to have it confirmed by others.

Sorry, I edited my original message (about Phil on the future of Furthur).

Here is what Lesh said to Rolling Stone:
